Evanna Lynch Insults Twilight

Harry Potter star Evanna Lynch recently said some insulting comments about competition series Twilight.
Lynch says she doesn’t get the big fuss about his Edward Cullen role.
“Get over it,” she advises Kristen Stewart who plays Bella in the “Twilight” films. “She’s always talking about how beautiful Edward is. Get over it.”
Lynch, who plays Luna Lovegood in “Harry Potter,” says she just doesn’t get the appeal of the Stephenie Meyer’s epic vampire series.
Speaking to a Danish Web site kino.dk Lynch said “Twilight” doesn’t match up to “Harry Potter.”
“They are good books but I don’t think they are as fantastic as ‘Harry Potter,’” she said. “I don’t think they are that good, and for a time I was a bit, like, anti-‘Twilight.’ Everyone said it was the new ‘Harry Potter’ and I don’t agree.”

That's not a insult. She only say that she likes the books but it's not as good as Harry Potter which makes sense becuase she's a Harry Potter fan. And only for a while she become anti-twilight because the people said to her that it was the next Harry Potter and she didn't agree. However, what Stephen King said. That was an insult, he said that Stephanie Meyer can't write a damn thing but he said that J.K. Rowling is a good writer. Kevin Smith compares Twilight with porn. Even Stephanie Meyer herself said that there's one J.K. Rowling and she never could beat her. And Evanna's right.

Evanna was simply saying her opinion – I don't think she meant to insult anybody. Everyone has the right say what they think, correct?
And BTW, I agree with her. Whta's the big deal with Twilight anyway? It's not even that great (compared with Harry Potter).

She wasn't. And she didn't insult anybody or anyone. Or maybe for the crazy Twilight fans, it's a insult to them that someone doesn't like Twilight or Robert Patterson.

She is Right. Besides there are no real twilight fans in this world. they’re just fan-girls in love with either Edward, Jacob or the rest of the Cullen family or the wolf pack. im not hater, i like the books, but but there not something i would a read a million times and not get tired of. but with harry potter i could read a zillion times and still get excited. but in truth and in reality, Twilight will NEVER be as good as HARRY POTTER SERIES, NOT EVEN HALF AS GOOD.besides i they cant even be compared, twilight in my opinion should be compared to true blood or the vampire diaries, it is romance book after all. Harry Potter is action/adventure, with a little romance on the side. the characters are real, not some imaginary god-like sparkling figure who is the product of some woman’s dream.

Everyone can express their own opinion, but there are real Twilight fans in the world. I liked the books even before I even heard about the movie. And no I dont find Robert Pattinson or Taylor Lautner appealing. Im a married woman who happens to love the Twilight books because overall they are very positive for teens. Unlike other books they have no drinking, no drugs, little language, and clean sex. I dont like the Harry Potter books because they are negative for children. The characters go out of their way to constantly break the rules and in the end they are rewarded for doing so. There's no sense of responsibility and no sense of authority and that is very unhealthy for children. But still comparing twilight to harry Potter is like comparing apples to oranges. They are as opposite as night and day. And Twilight is for young adults. Harry Potter is in the Juvenile section. Case closed

Um, above poster, you do realize that Bella constantly breaks rules and never gets in trouble for it? And just to see her boyfriend? Alice steals cas with no remorse. The Cullens also skip school many times. In Harry Potter they break the rules only when t is needed to save children’s lives or when the authoriy is corrupt. Also, how can you possibly say Hary Potter is unhealhy for childern when twilight has remorseless crime, drug references, unhealthy relationships, pedophilia, and hot, pillow-biting, sex? I was eleven when I read breaking dawn and it felt sick and twisted to me, a young girl.
On your last couple statements: I don’t categorize Harry Potter as juvenile. It is a book for people of all ages to enjoy and learn from.
I’m sorry for any grammar errors and/or typos- I did this on my phone.
Also, if this is necro’ing I’m sorry. I was just disturbed by the post above.

Emily, Harry Potter teaches loyalty, courage and love triumph over evil. Twilight teaches how important it is to get a boyfriend and get married by 18.

@emily i dont think there is anything postive bout the twilight books.harry potter teaches how to face ur inner fear and it teaches about the most important relationship in this world and that is friendship..and it also shows the importance of family..bella is ready to leave her parents for a guy, which is absurd..shes so self obsessed and confused that she cant even decide which guy she wants..do u think its healthy for jacob to imprint on renesmee, bella's daughter wen hes still in love with bella?my parents prefer harry potter o twilight,so its definely not juvenile.even my grandmother knows sumthing bout harry potter and appreciates it.but ur right though twilight and harry potter cant be compared as "twilight is jus a fad whereas harry potter is right up there with oxygen"

you didn't read the harry potter books did you? Harry Potter teaches children the way of life, choosing what is right and what is easy. They didn't go out of their way to break the rules, they choose what was right instead of easy. the book as has strong points of loyalty and friendships but also write about faults in a person. not everyone in the book has a happily ever after, just like real life.
i can sum up twilight quicker Bella "Edward bite me" Edward "no" Bella "sleep with me" Edward "no" OMG Edward is like soooo hot when he talks to me like that, i was so blind by a pitiful love that i fell over my own shoes and landed into my beautiful Edward's arm…..rinse and repeat.
