Kellan Lutz doesn’t want Breaking Dawn in 3D

While we’re still waiting to hear if Breaking Dawn (the final installment of Twilight) will be split into two movies, rumor has it that Summit is considering filming the last of the saga in 3D. At a recent event, Kellan Lutz who plays Emmett Cullen revealed that he’s not feeling the 3D idea.

“I heard they were talking about it. I don’t really care to see it in 3D. 3D kind of hurts my eyes anyways.” Kellan admitted. “Avatar was amazing in 3D and in IMAX, but I don’t think I wanna see a little baby half-vampire in 3D. There’s just some scenes I just wouldn’t want to see in 3D.”

there are some movies where 3D is a worthwhile investment that adds to the story. Breaking Dawn does not need 3D. Nothing will be gained from it. It’s a plot where we are more concerned with what the characters are experiencing opposed to outrageous aesthetics. Movies like Avatar and Alice benefit from 3D because they aren’t like our world visually, opposed to Breaking Dawn where the surroundings are something that we are already familiar with. All are/will be awesome movies, but all of them are unique and therefore need a unique approach.
