Famous author Candace Bushnell, the author of the Sex and the City series is currently in the talks for making a new film based on The Carrie Diaries, a prequel to the hit series and movies. During a recent interview with Daily Caller, she revealed that she would love to cast teen sensation Selena Gomez as one of the main characters in the movie.

“You know, I don’t know…Casting is like kismet. I’m going to get into trouble for this, but I was looking at some pictures of Selena Gomez today and thinking ’she’d make a really good young Charlotte,’” Candace reveals, “She’s so pretty. I was like…gosh, wouldn’t she be great? Am I right or wrong? I’m not good at this. If I say something like that, then the next thing I know, people are like, no!”

Actress Katie Cassidy was spotted arriving back in Los Angeles on Sunday (July 3rd), as she made her way through LAX with boyfriend Jarret Stoll. Looking casual in jeans and some aviators, the actress made her way back home after her flight.

You can catch Katie in her new movie Monte Carlo, which just opened in theatres this weekend! Selena Gomez and Leighton Meester also star in the new flick.

After joining the hit FOX series Glee for it’s second season this past year, it has been revealed that actor Chord Overstreet has not been signed on as a series regular for the upcoming third season. Chord, who played newcomer Sam, will not be off the show permanently. Rumour has it that Chord is scheduled to make a few guest appearances throughout the new season.

Other cast members such as Darren Chriss (Blaine) and Harry Shum Jr. (Mike) have just been signed on as regulars for the new season.

Former Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen was on hand Sunday afternoon (July 3rd) to take the stage during the Wireless Festival at Hyde Park. Dressed in a dark t-shirt and some black sunglasses, Taylor and her band The Pretty Reckless performed during the third day of the festival.

This weekend in the box office, the newly released Transformers 3 topped the charts in the Box Office bringing in $97.4 million on its opening weekend. The flick, starring Shia LaBeouf beat out the also new film Monte Carlo. Monte Carlo, starring teen stars Selena Gomez, Leighton Meester, and Katie Cassidy opened in 5th at the box office, bringing in $7.6 million. This opening is a drop from Selena’s previous film Ramona & Beezus.

After spending months working on her next album, teen star Demi Lovato has revealed her new single artwork for the song Skyscraper. The artwork features a beautiful looking Demi, and is for the first single off of her third studio album, which will be released later this year.

After the cover leaked online early yesterday, Demi tweeted it to her fans officially. “Bummed that I couldn’t be the first person to show this BUT!!! ladies and gents…. My single artwork cover for my NEW SINGLE “SKYSCRAPER”!!”

The song is rumoured to be released on Amazon on July 14th, while iTunes will release the song on the 19th. Can’t wait!
