During a recent interview, the boys from The Wanted opened up about their overwhelming success, as well as plans for an upcoming tour with teen superstar Justin Bieber.
Justin, who just released his new album Believe has revealed to fans that he is planning to start his tour this September. The boys from The Wanted, who have opened for Justin before on tour, are hoping to hit the road with Bieber once more.
“Hopefully with Scooter now as our manager things will really take off. He bends over backwards for us.” Jay told The Daily Record. “We are quite messy characters and although we are still messy, he is making us presentable to America. He’s hooking us up with Chris Brown and Justin Bieber.”
“We’re planning to tour with Justin. We have started writing in the last few months and some stuff there is Justin-worthy.”
As for their huge success, the boys have had a hard time believing that it’s all true! We are as surprised as everyone else that things have blown up. I met a girl the other day who has been a fan since the start and she kept saying how massive we were now, but it’s still hard to believe. We are lucky.” Said Nathan.
Jay explained, “We are very busy travelling around lots on the tour bus and just greeting lots of radio stations and loads of fans and remembering the fact we are nice.
“We were recently at the Billboard awards and as the new boys had our eyes opened. We couldn’t believe who we were sharing the stage with. It was people like Chris Brown, Alecia Keyes and so many others. So many people asked to party with us and we went out with LMFAO who know how to properly party.”
“Jordin Sparks and Chris Brown came up and spoke and Jordin said she’d been waiting to meet us. We thought, ‘We’ve been waiting to meet you’.”
The boys even admitted that Nathan cried after meeting Stevie Wonders!
