Stepping out to check out the new 2013 Spring Fashion trends, actress Ashley Greene hit up the DKNY Fashion Show in New York during the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week on Sunday (September 9). Looking fashion-forward in a little black dress, Ashley was spotted posing for photos at the event along with fashion designer Donna Karan.

While at the event, the Breaking Dawn beauty spoke with E Online about her fashion sense, where she admitted that she isn’t always a hit on the red carpet.

“I think I’ve had a lot of blunders!” Ashley admitted at Sunday’s event. “I had to really become comfortable in fashion and find myself. So before that happened, I didn’t always dress for myself.”

The actress has been the face of the new DKNY advertisements, which has helped her find her own way when it comes to trends and clothing. Ashley revealed that before she began modelling for the clothing brand she used to “pay attention to trends and wore things that didn’t necessarily flatter me.” Ever since, she’s “had to learn what looks good on me and what I’m comfortable in.”

“You look back a couple years and there’s a lot of things that I’m like, ‘Oh, no! Why did I do that?!’” she said. “But I’m glad I’m here now.”

Ashley will star in the final instalment of The Twilight Saga in Breaking Dawn Part 2, which will be released this November.
