Wizards of Waverly Place star David Henrie has had a jam-packed year filming a new movies, including Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2.

It looks as though David has no intention of slowing down any time soon, as the actor is expected to join the upcoming film Men of Granite.

According to Deadline, David will be joining Shirley MacLaine in the film, which is “based on a true story about a bunch of poor immigrant kids — Armenian, Macedonian, Yugoslavian and Hungarian — who triumph over small-town bigotry to win the 1940 state basketball championship.”

David is said to be playing “Evon Parseghian, one of the basketball players who is very poor, movie-star handsome and a helluva flirt. He sets his sights on a girl from the good side of the tracks (much to her father’s chagrin).”

The movie is currently set to shoot in Granite City, Illinois.

Was hoping it would read that his love interest was being played by Selena Gomez;) who would also fit into the ethnic diversity.
