Actor/singer Nick Jonas made an appearance on a recent segment of Nightline, where he and his co-star Ben Schnetzer discussed the portrayal of fraternity hazing in their new film Goat, in a segment dedicated to the dangers associated with the hazing tradition.
“This film in particular, you know, shows the dark side of when you leave twenty 20-something young men with no real consequences for their actions,” Nick said. In the film, Nick plays one of the frat brothers carrying out the hazing while Ben Schnetzer plays his younger brother who is pledging the fraternity.
“There’s a line in the movie which I love,” Nick said, “In which one of the guys says: ‘I’m having sex for the first time, I’m going to parties for the first time.'”
“Your desires really drive your ability to sort of put the craziness aside – craziness being some of the hazing.”
