Actress Emma Roberts dropped by Late Night with Seth Meyers on Tuesday (Sept. 12) to promote her series American Horror Story: Cult, where she also dished on her love for books and her new bookclub.
“I’m a big reader,” Emma revealed during her interview, explaining that she loves to read at least 20 to 30 minutes each day and often carries a bunch of physical books with her even when she travels.
Emma’s love for reading also brought her to start her own online bookclub called Belletrist.
“So basically we pick one book a month, it was me and my best friend who started it, and we have discussions with it and basically we interview authors, because I’m obsessed with authors,” Emma said. “I get star struck meeting authors more than I do [with] anybody else.”

Emma also revealed that her first interview for her club was with author Joan Didion:
“Joan Didion is how we kicked off Belletrist, which was amazing for me because she’s literally my favourite, favourite person in the whole world and she agreed to give us an interview,” she said. “And so that’s how we kicked off the whole book club, which was insane, and I fell to my knees, literally, when I got the news.”
During her interview, Emma also chatted about the new season of American Horror Story and her new role as a newscaster Serena. Check out Emma’s full interview in the clip above!
