Bridgit Mendler at ‘A Time for Heroes’ Picnic

Good Luck Charlie star Bridgit Mendler stepped out this afternoon (June 13th) to attend the 21st A Time for Heroes Celebrity Picnic to benefit the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation in Los Angeles. Looking summertime cute in a yellow tank, denim shorts, and chic boots, Bridgit hung out with fellow Disney stars such as Debby Ryan and co-star Jason Dolley.

Good Luck Charlie airs on the Disney Channel Sundays at 7:30/8:30 central!

Good Luck Charlie Cast at Summer Junket

The stars of Disney’s newest hit show Good Luck Charlie made an appearance this weekend (May 15) at the Disney and ABC Summer Press Junket in Los Angeles, promoting the first season of their show. Bridgit Mendler posed for pictures with her on-screen family wearing a cute pink top, and jeans. Along with Bridgit were Jason Dolley, Bradley Steven Perry, and the adorable Mia Talerico (who plays Charlie).

Good Luck Charlie follows a family who welcomes a new addition to their family, and their struggles to find a normalcy in their crazy lives. You can catch the show on Disney Channel Sundays at 8:30/7:30c!

Bridgit Mendler talks ‘Good Luck Charlie’

You may know her as Juliet from Disney’s hit series Wizards of Waverly Place, but Bridgit Mendler will be front and center in the young Hollywood spotlight, as she stars in her new Disney television series called Good Luck Charlie (Premiering TONIGHT on Disney at 8:30pm). We had the opportunity to talk to Bridgit, who chatted about her new role, as well as what it’s like being in the Disney family!

Bridgit stars as Teddy in Good Luck Charlie, along side Jason Dolley who plays her brother. “It’s about this family of 5 who has another child, and the parents have to go back to work so the kids have to help out with the baby, and all sorts of chaos ensues.” Bridgit said. “It’s been really fun to do.”

Bridgit even revealed that she often relates to her character, being a teen girl. “I’ve had a lot of fun with some of Teddy’s more nerdy moments – I’m kind of a nerd myself, like in one of the episodes Teddy had to be a bad dancer which I had some fun with, got to give her some nerdy dance moves and just little stuff like that where Teddy isn’t as cool as she might seem.”

With the premiere happening tonight, Bridgit is super excited for people to see what she’s been working on. “I’m so excited! It was so surreal for me to actually become part of the Disney family, and I’ve been watching Disney channel all my life so it was just so crazy to actually become a part of it.” She confessed. “We’ve been working on the show since the end of August last year, and now things are gearing up for it to be released, and I’m so excited for everyone to actually be able to see what we’ve been working on.”

Even though Bridgit is good friends with the rest of the cast, she did say that she would love to have her real life friends join her on screen in an episode! “I’ve already had one of my really good friends guest star, so that was awesome to have her on the show. I would love to have my best friend on the show. She’s visited a couple of times, but she hasn’t actually been on it.”

“Generally we do live audience episodes and it’s really cool.” Bridgit said about filming the sitcom in front of a live studio audience. “What definitely puts me at ease is having all my lines memorized. If I don’t have my lines memorized and I go out there in front of the group of people, and I mess up, it’s kind of embarrassing. I wanna have all my lines down so I know what I’m doing in the scene, and I’m ready to go. “

New ‘Good Luck Charlie’ Clip!

Here is a quick clip from the first episode of the upcoming Disney show Good Luck Charlie starring Bridgit Mendler and Jason Dolley! The first episode is called Study Date, and is set to air on April 4th.

Amy (Leigh-Allyn Baker) is fretting as she returns to work as a nurse, but Bob (Eric Allan Kramer) reassures her that they have a support system to care for Charlie (Mia Telerico).

However Teddy’s (Mendler) distracted by a cute classmate, PJ (Dolley) is trying to have a jam session with his friend and Gabe (Steven Perry) is feeling as if their territory has been invaded. When Bob slips and falls on the stairs, Charlie is put in the sole care of Teddy and PJ drives his dad to the hospital, where they go to great lengths to avoid mom.
