Singer Cody Simpson was one of the many celebs to attend last night’s 2013 Much Music Video Awards in Toronto, Canada.

Cody drove up to the award show in a jeep with his surfboards in tow, as he prepared to take the stage to present an award during the night.

“spectacular night. sickest fans in canada, love them. #mmva” Cody tweeted after the show. “fun mates weekend in toronto. I’ll be back.”

Cody’s next album Surfers Paradise will be released soon, and the pre-ordering for the new album opens tomorrow on iTunes. The singer is also touring this summer, if you haven’t gotten your tickets yet you can still purchase them here.

Looks like there’s never a dull moment on the road for Cody Simpson!

In the newest episode of Cody’s The Paradise Series, Cody and his tour mates Ryan Beatty and Before You Exit have a massive water ballon fight between “Team Simpson” and the Americans in “Team Beatty” while the guys were in El Paso, Texas.

The boys are currently on Cody’s headlining summer North American tour, while Cody prepares for the release of his second studio album Surfers Paradise next month on July 16th.

After he made the exciting announcement last week that his new album Summers Paradise will be released on July 16, Cody has now revealed what fans can expect from the album in a brand new interview.

While chatting with Radio.com, Cody explained that he wanted his album to represent him as an artist. He said Summers Paradise is a “classic summer album” with a few pop songs, including his first single from the album Pretty Brown Eyes.

“I grew up playing the acoustic guitar and I decided I really wanted to go back to my roots on this album,” Cody said. “I grew up listening to Jack Johnson, Jason Mraz, and John Mayer so they definitely inspired a lot of the album too. There’s a really mellow, acoustic sound to it.”

Cody also revealed that he wrote some of the songs on the new album, including the song Awake All Night.

“ produced it almost entirely myself,” he said. “It turned out to be something that happened super quick.”

“A lot of artists will either write the song or just sing the vocal. It was a big step for me, especially at 16, to write and produce and play every instrument.”

The Australian heartthrob admitted the song he is most excited for fans to hear is called Summertime of Our Lives.

“It’s an all-around beautiful record,” Cody said. “Acoustic guitar, ukulele and vocal and that’s it. It’s definitely an indicator to how I’m growing as an artist, how my music and sound is evolving.”

Cody is currently preparing for the Paradise tour, which begins at the end of the month. During the show, Cody will be performing his hit songs, along with some new music from the upcoming album.

“With this show, just as with the new album, I really wanted to share myself and share my lifestyle and share who I am as a person, more than just sharing myself and my music,” Cody said.

Australian singer Cody Simpson made a big announcement yesterday, as he gave fans a preview of his next album titled Surfers Paradise which will be released on July 16th.

Taking to his official Facebook page, Cody posted the new album cover saying: “New Album. Surfers Paradise. July 16.”

In the mean time, Cody’s first single from the album Pretty Brown Eyes has already been released!

Australian singer Cody Simpson does a cool new take on his latest single Pretty Brown Eyes in this new video shared by Billboard.

Cody created the new version of the song while working on his latest album in the studio, where he ended up getting creative with a MPC. “I was working on a song and I got a bit of writer’s block,” says Cody. “I saw the MPC in the studio and commented about how not that many producers still use them.”

“After I figured it out, I turned to my videographer, Florent Dechard, who was in the studio documenting the day, and asked if he could film me recording the MPC and playing my guitar and sync them,” he continues. “Being the genius he is, he told me that he could do it easily.”

Cody is currently gearing up for his Paradise tour, which begins at the end of the month.

Australian singer Cody Simpson shows off his puppy love in this new advertisement for PETA2. Cuddling with his adorable pooch Buddy, the Got Me Good singer encourages his fans to treat their pets with the love they deserve.

“Never leave your dog in a hot car,” Cody said on how to care for your pets. “It’s important to speak up if you ever come across a situation like that …. You can tell your parent, or tell an adult you trust, really. I wouldn’t leave the situation until it’s been resolved and everything’s OK. If you ever see animal abuse, please never be silent.”
