Harry Potter Breaks Records as Biggest Opening of All Time

The final movie from the Harry Potter series made its way into theaters this weekend, breaking records as it comes in as the biggest opening of all time. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 2 brought in $168.6 million after being in theaters for just three days! The former leader in biggest opening was The Dark Knight which opened with $158.4 million back in 2008.

The previous Harry Potter movie also opened big on it’s opening weekend, debuting with $125 million.

Check out this brand new TV spot for the highly anticipated movie Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Part 1 of the next Harry Potter movie stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint as everybody’s favorite trio – Harry, Ron, and Hermione. The video shows some new clips from the first part of the two movies, which is due out in theaters this November.
