Author Lauren Conrad attended a book signing at Barnes & Noble at The Grove in LA on Tuesday (June 11), where she signed copies of her newest book Infamous for fans.
Looking lovely in a white dress and a high bun, Lauren was all smiles as she posed with the new book, which was just released this month.
Infamous is a part of Lauren’s Fame Game novels, bringing the series to a ‘stunning conclusion’.
“Filming for season two of The Fame Game has begun, and star Madison Parker is doing something she never thought she”d do: avoiding the PopTV cameras. She knows Trevor will come groveling and that she”ll go back to the show eventually-but on her terms. Fame can turn a girl into a pawn, and Madison knows that”s not the life she wants.
Fame can turn a girl into a target, too, something her Fame Game costars are quickly learning. Up-and-coming actress Carmen is trying to figure out who”s feeding gossip about her to the press, and all signs point to someone from her inner circle. Meanwhile, the tabloids have dubbed Kate “The Boring One,” but if she”s so boring, why is she the one with the boyfriend and a stalker? Help comes from an unexpected place as Madison gives Kate pointers about how to work the reality-TV system. But will Kate take the advice too far?
As the girls” careers heat up, so do their love lives, and they each discover that chasing their dreams almost always comes at a price.”
Lauren also opened up about writing the new books in the new issue of Marie Claire!

Former Laguna Beach star Lauren Conrad graces the latest cover of Marie Claire magazine, where she opens up about her life on reality TV, and life off the small-screen as she pursues a career in fashion and as an author.
After rising to fame being on Laguna Beach and The Hills for seven years, Lauren revealed that viewers don’t always get the accurate story as told on the 20-minute episodes. As a result, Lauren wanted to start writing novels on her own where she got to have her own voice.
“I only ever got to tell half my story,” Lauren said. “People are very quick to judge these days, especially behind the anonymity of a screen name. It’s very easy to say, ‘I hate her, I hate what she wore, she seems mean.’ But you’re only seeing a small fraction of her life.”
Lauren says she didn’t want to have to stay on the show in order to keep her fame. “I hoped I didn’t,” she says. “Everybody told me to stay on TV. Nobody wanted me to leave.”
However, without being on TV Lauren has still managed to garner millions of Twitter and Instagram followers. “There is always gonna be a little bit of … negativity, which just comes with the territory,” she says. “You realize it doesn’t matter. It’s so simple, but it’s a very hard lesson to learn. At the end of the day, it doesn’t really affect you in any way.”
Next up, Lauren is planning on launching an e-commerce site called The Little Market in September, where she will sell artisanal crafts made by women from around the world. For the new venture, Lauren is teaming up wither her pal Hannah Taylor Skvarla, who works for Human Rights Watch.
“We’ve been to Bali and El Salvador and Africa and India and Nepal,” Lauren says. “Hannah is good about educating me about not just the beautiful places we go to but also the issues people there face. I think when you’ve been fortunate, you have a moral obligation to do things for others.”

Fashion designer Lauren Conrad was spotted at the LA Airport on Sunday (June 2), as she prepared to hop on a flight out of the city.
Dressed in black jeans, a blue button-up shirt and some sunglasses, Lauren kept her head down and tried to avoid awaiting cameras as she made her way to catch her flight at the LAX Airport.
Lauren was recently rumoured to be secretly engaged to her boyfriend William Tell, after a source told Star Magazine that Will proposed while the pair were vacationing in Mexico in May. Lauren’s rep quickly shut down the rumour, stating that the rumour is “not true”.

With summer just around the corner, most girls are thinking about how they can get that perfect bikini body in time for the beach.
While at the Coachella Music Festival, Lea Michele and Lauren Conrad both revealed the one thing that changed their life into getting in shape! What was it? A book!
“Read Skinny Bitch!” Lauren spilled to celebuzz during an interview.
“Oh my god,” Lea said to Lauren. “Give me a high-five. Didn’t it change your life?!”
“It scared the s–t out of me!” Lauren explained. ”Everything you eat you’re like, ‘Oh, God I know what’s in that now.’ It’s just informing you about what’s in your food.”
Lea totally agreed with Lauren on the book. “Exactly, when you read the book, you’re like ‘Oh, it’s just going to be all about being skinny,’ but it’s not at all. What I love about the book is that it’s just the hard core truth. Seriously, it changed my life.”
Luckily for Lea, the Glee star doesn’t even need to hit the gym to stay in shape! “It’s called the Glee diet — just dancing and singing 24/7, I don’t go to the gym! I’m a vegetarian and I’m very energetic.”
