After the big season 11 premiere of Degrassi last night, fans got a taste of what intense drama will be going down with Luke Bilyk and Alicia Josipovic‘s characters Drew & Bianca. In the first hour-long episode of the season, Drew and Bianca got themselves into a bit of a mess when Bianca’s ex-boyfriend came back into the picture.

Luke and Alicia have chatted about what makes them seem like a real couple on-screen. “We have a lot of chemistry on set, so we work really well together,” Alicia explained when talking about the dramatic scene where she is attacked by her ex, ending up in her accidentally murdering him. “We listened to different music to get into the scene, but it was very intense.”

Luke also got a chance to talk about his scenes that were more intimate between the pair that were shot for the premiere. “Me and Alicia are such good friends that at the end of the day, we’re just doing a scene, but I guess we’ll say fun to do those kind of scenes. It was good, she’s a very good actress, it was very easy to just work off each other.”
