Harry Potter actor Rupert Grint will soon be making his return to the big screen!
After the hit Harry Potter series came to an end last summer, Rupert Grint has been taking on some new roles to expand his career. Now, the British actor has just signed onto two new movies!
According to Variety, Rupert will be starring alongside Shia LaBeouf in “The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman”. The movie is based on Shia’s character who ‘falls for a woman who’s been claimed by a violent crime boss’ and also stars Evan Rachel Wood.
The next project Rupert has signed on to star in is “CBGB”. Also in the movie is Rupert’s Harry Potter co-star Alan Rickman. Rickman will be playing “CBGB owner Hilly Kristal and the New York City club’s impact on the underground music scene, highlighting artists like the Talking Heads, the Ramones and Blondie. Grint will play Cheetah Chrome of the Dead Boys, who played a prominent role during the club’s rise.”
The final movie from the Harry Potter series made its way into theaters this weekend, breaking records as it comes in as the biggest opening of all time. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 2 brought in $168.6 million after being in theaters for just three days! The former leader in biggest opening was The Dark Knight which opened with $158.4 million back in 2008.
The previous Harry Potter movie also opened big on it’s opening weekend, debuting with $125 million.

Part 1 of the next Harry Potter movie stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint as everybody’s favorite trio – Harry, Ron, and Hermione. The video shows some new clips from the first part of the two movies, which is due out in theaters this November.
