Former Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen has just been signed by Next Model Management, and will soon star in both fashion and beauty campaigns.

Taylor spoke about working with the company, saying: “I’m excited about my new relationship with Next Models. Next has great vision, and will be a fantastic partner in furthering both my music and fashion.”

Taylor has been working with her band The Pretty Reckless since the end of Gossip Girl, however the 19-year-old blonde has also had some time to do some modelling work along the way.

Taylor has previously starred as the face of Madonna‘s clothing line Material Girl, along with John Galliano‘s perfume Parlez-Moi d’Amour.

Other stars signed with Next Model Management include Jessica Alba, Ellie Goulding, Rita Ora, and Lana Del Rey.

The band is currently prepping to head out on tour across North America starting next month, and have announced all of their tour dates on their website here. They’ll be opening for Marilyn Manson!

Despite multiple rumors saying that Taylor Momsen has been put on an ‘indefinite hiatus’ from the Gossip Girl, E! Online has revealed that the actress is still with the show.

According to multiple sources, Taylor “isn’t going anywhere”, and the behaviour problems that sparked the rumors are ‘nothing new’.

Taylor’s contract has her signed on up through the seventh season, with the show currently in it’s fourth season on the CW. “Jenny isn’t in college like everyone else, so it’s hard to weave her into the central storylines,” says one source. “We don’t want to just bring her in to hang out at the breakfast table with Lily and Rufus and say a line or two—we want a reason to have her there.”

In the mean time, Taylor has been busy with her music career. She is currently promoting her debut album Light me Up with her band The Pretty Reckless.

Taylor Momen and her band The Pretty Reckless performed an acoustic version of their song Just Tonight, which they recorded live in London on their recent press tour. The song is off of the band’s debut album Light Me Up which also includes their hit songs Makes me Wanna Die and You.

Zombie songstress Taylor Momsen is known for her provocative fashion choices, and the Gossip Girl star has revealed that she used to be teased about her fashion choices as a kid.

“I haven’t lived a normal life and even though I did go to school I was in and out. I had like, two friends growing up, but now my band is like my family,” Taylor said. “I didn’t have the chance to go to school and be normal. I was always kind of the weird kid who was in movies and I was very shy. And when I was at elementary school in Missouri I used to wear knee-high socks and got made fun of all the time, now I’m famous for my thigh-highs. Ironic.”

Taylor, who is the lead singer for the band The Pretty Reckless also mentioned that their debut album Light Me Up will give fans an inside look at Taylor’s true personality. She also insisted that she is nothing like her character on the hit CW television series Gossip Girl.

“Well I’m not my character, I’m an actress and I’m a completely different person to Jenny,” Taylor explained. “You see me on TV every week and I look the same, so fans think they know me and my life. But it’s not my life, my life is very, very different. I mean it’s dark and twisty and whatever people might say about the record – it’s all, ‘Oh she’s crazy’ but they don’t mean it in a negative way. Yes, I have a personality.”

During a recent interview with the band The Pretty Reckless, guitarist for the band Ben Phillips revealed that lead singer Taylor Momsen has a love for fires.

“Taylor loves setting things on fire, so this is great. Taylor thinks we’re some rock ‘n’ roll badasses,” Ben shared. “In the studio, there was this pit where the owner would burn stuff. We’d burn old keyboards, computers, stuff them full of TNT and set them on fire. Taylor loves fire. I shouldn’t say this. One morning, Taylor got into the studio really early – she’d just had her dog neutered and brought in the bits. Which she then burned. We were grossed out.”

Taylor also chatted about her reputation of being difficult to work with. “I do smile when things are funny. I’m quite moody, I’m a teenager and I’m PMS-ing all the f**king time, what do you expect? I am quite moody and I have an interesting life and I get my picture taken 24/7, and it’s not always pleasurable. “

“I am really moody, but I’m not a mean person. I’m actually nice.”

Taylor also addressed her provocative way of dressing, “I’m 17. Aren’t I supposed to be provocative? I don’t really understand what the problem is. I know I dress provocatively on stage, but it’s just rock ‘n’ roll. Like, I don’t really understand what the big deal is.”

The Pretty Reckless rocker Taylor Momsen was spotted dressed in all black Saturday in Soho, New York (September 4th). The singer was seen trying on some sunglasses in a store, and when she noticed the photographers quickly covered up with her hood and shades as she continued on with her shopping.

Earlier this week, Taylor was seen back on the set of Gossip Girl, filming new episodes for season 4 (which premieres on September 13th).

Going back to her acting roots, Taylor Momsen was seen back on the set of Gossip Girl yesterday afternoon (August 30th) as she filmed a guest appearance for the upcoming 4th season of the hit CW show. Dressed in a glamorous blue mini dress, Taylor was spotted out and about on the New York set in between takes.

Taylor has been busy promoting her music and upcoming album Light me Up (out on September 10th) with her band The Pretty Reckless.

Taylor Momsen was spotted with her signature black eyeliner today (August 21st) as she performed with her band The Pretty Reckless at the V Festival in Chelmsford, England. Taylor also wore her favorite stockings with a short dress as she belted out songs from the band’s upcoming debut album (coming next month).

On Friday, the band stopped by This Morning UK to perform Miss Nothing.

The Pretty Reckless made an appearance on This Morning UK Friday morning (August 20th) to perform their latest single Miss Nothing. The lead singer Taylor Momsen sported a light mini dress, as she performed the song off of the band’s upcoming debut album.
