After spending the past 15 months on the road performing for fans on her RED tour, Taylor Swift has officially ended another era of her career as she prepares for the next with her fifth studio album.
According to Billboard, Taylor managed to break some records while out on the road, as she broke the all-time revenue record for a single tour by a country artist.
Billboard’s Boxscore reports that overall, Taylor’s RED tour grossed $150 million as she passed the previous record holders Tim McGraw and Faith Hill who brought in $141 million on their 2006-2007 Soul2Soul tour.
In total, The Red tour brought in $150,184,971 in revenue from 1,702,933 sold tickets at 86 performances in 12 countries.
According to Deadline, the sequel will follow: “the setup teased in the final scenes of Teen Beach Movie as modern day teens Mack and Brady get a real world visit from Lela, Tanner, Butchy, and other surfer and biker pals from the beach party pic within a pic, Wet Side Story.”
