With two huge movies (Divergent and The Fault in Our Stars) dominating the box office over the past couple of months, actress Shailene Woodley has been having a pretty good year so far.
The star glams up for the newest issue of Vanity Fair, where she rocks a sparkly red dress and bold red lips on the cover of their July 2014 issue. Inside, Shailene opens up about the pressures of acting, as well as what it was like working with George Clooney.
After making a big name for herself after her role in The Descendants alongside Clooney, Shailene was beginning to feel the pressure of continuing to be in successful projects. “Somebody came to me and said, ‘I can’t wait to see what you do next.’” Shailene explains. “I took that as pressure—that I had to live up to somebody else’s expectations. There were a few months where I was like, ‘I don’t want to act anymore.’ And then I got over it and realized it’s none of my business what other people think of me.”
As for working with George on the movie, Shailene reveals: “He has been an angel in my life for many reasons. He knew everyone’s name on set,” she says. “He treated everyone as an equal and everyone got his warmth.”
When it comes to dating co-stars, Shailene has admitted that she’s a little hesitant to do so: “I’m never going to say never. I love acting, but I also really love nature and most actors don’t want to get dirty.”
However, Shailene has formed a special bond with her Divergent and The Spectacular Now co-star, Miles Teller. “I look at Miles and, like, I’m sort of Julia Roberts in the same way she is to George. Their relationship I could see being our relationship in 20 years, and that really is special.”
Be sure to check out Shailene’s full interview here, and pick up Shailene’s issue of Vanity Fair when it hits newsstands on June 12th!

Cassadee is a big fan of Proactiv products, which have helped her achieve clear skin after experiencing some problems with acne. The former The Voice star opened up to People Magazine saying: “I never struggled with skin issues until I was in my 20s,”
“It always made me feel self conscious. I was afraid to go on stage, especially if I saw video cameras close up on my face — I hated knowing the whole crowd was looking at my skin. That, of course, affected my performance in a negative way and I was less confident on stage.”
Now that she’s found what works for her, Cassadee hopes that by being an ambassador for the brand, she can help others become confident like her!
“It’s important to me to let people know that I’ve found a solution to something I’ve always been insecure about,” she says. “I feel as an artist, there’s always this obligation to come across strong and fearless. But we have insecurities like everyone else. Proactiv started making a difference on my skin as soon as the first day … [Now] I’m more confident on stage and I’m not afraid of cameras close up on my face, [and] I’m not constantly thinking ‘I know they see my pimples’ whenever I meet fans.”
