While embarking on his solo tour, singer/actor Darren Criss opened up about what’s coming up for his character Blaine Anderson on the upcoming fifth season of Glee.
Darren spoke with E Online about the next season, especially about the possibility of Blaine moving to New York to be with Kurt. According to Darren, Blaine will not be heading to the big apple any time soon, since the previous season did not end at the end of the school year.
“We ended it in the middle of the year,” he explains. “So I would presume when we pick up season four, the year will go on and we will graduate. But who knows? Maybe we’ll be stuck in senior year forever! They can do whatever they want.”
As for now, Darren is focusing on his own music, embarking on a solo tour across North America.
“The funny thing about Glee is that it was never like a dream to be on television…For me, it was traveling around with some of your best friends in a bus going to some of the venues that I grew up going to all over the country. This is an absolute dream come true and a selfish work vacation.”
Now that the fourth season of FOX’s hit show Glee has come to a close, the cast has opened up about the past season, as well as what they’re going to miss now that they have some time off before returning for season five.
In a behind-the-scenes look of the finale, where the cast competes at regionals the cast got to perform in front of a live audience, a change from their usual studio performances. Becca Tobin (Kitty) says, “Shooting regionals, it’s definitely a lot of work. But, I think that we perform better when we have this huge crowd watching us, cause we’re all just a bunch of hams.”
Becca is just one of the new cast members this year, the other newbies also spoke about being on the show for the first time this season.
Blake Jenner (Ryder) says: “Being on Glee this season has definitely changed my life. It’s insane, it still feels like a dream.”
He’s not the only one feeling like the role is a dream, Melissa Benoist (Marley) admitted she feels the same: “I think about my 10-year-old self who wanted this so badly, and then some days I’ll just be on set and then I’ll think to myself ‘I can’t believe I’m actually dancing in front of a camera right now on a television show. I can’t believe I’m actually here,’ And that’s really cool.”
As for summer vacation, the cast revealed that they’re all going to miss each other!
“We’re never away from each other for more than two days. So when we don’t see each other for a day it feels like an eternity.” says Jenna Ushkowtiz.
Newbie Jacob Artist (Jake) says, “We’re really lucky to kind of have all these really cool people that have come together and we’ve all become really really close. They’re some of my best friends right now, so it’s been amazing.”
Becca added, “It’s very surprising how close we’ve come in such a short amount of time. I’m going to miss the relationships and the people and knowing that I can come to work and someone’s going to have a hilarious story, someone’s going to have an embarrassing story. I don’t know, I’m going to miss everyone!”
