Pretty Little Liars beauty Lucy Hale stuns on the newest cover of Seventeen Magazine, where she stars on the cover of the all new June/July 2013 issue.

In the new issue, Lucy opens up about the brand-new her after she has recovered from an eating disorder and a breakup from ex-boyfriend Chris Zylka, all the while planning her very first album.

On the new Lucy “(The old Lucy) was confused. I would say things I wouldn’t normally say, or date people I knew I shouldn’t be dating, or go places I know I shouldn’t be at—just making bad decisions and mistakes. Not to say I still don’t make mistakes all the time, but I feel like I’m heading in the right direction.”

Lucy on getting past her Eating Disorder “I’m so unbelievably lucky that I’m not like that anymore because it is a horrible way of life and it’s miserable. It consumes everything you think about and you can’t pursue things you want to do…I used to spend so many wasted days being depressed and feeling gross….I learned you have to be happy. People who are the happiest are the most beautiful.”

Lucy on the power of positive friends “I’ve weeded out the negative people and now only surround myself with people who uplift me…I know what I have to offer and I feel good about it…I never understood jealousy. I’m a girls’ girl. I want to be happy for you and root for you.”

“Everyone’s given different gifts and different blessings for a reason and I just think that so much wasted energy goes into (jealousy). All the energy you use for being jealous could have been used for something really great.”

On moving on after splitting from boyfriend of nine-months Chris Zylka “I was just telling (my best friend) the other day that I don’t know what it’s going to take for me to want to date someone again. It just seems so exhausting. When I like someone, I fall really hard and I invest everything. When it’s gone, I’m like ‘I’m never doing that again!’”

Lucy talks about her debut album – it’s going to be country! “My album is something I’m really, really, really proud of. I’ve intentionally been quiet about it because I want the music to speak for itself. People are either going to love it or hate it. But I think that once they hear it, they’ll be like, ‘Okay, she loves this and is serious about it.’ This is my pride and joy—it’s my baby! I worked my butt off on it.”

As she continues to prepare for her first album, actress/singer Lucy Hale opened up about why she chose to make a country album for her big debut.

During an interview with Access Hollywood, Lucy described herself as “born and bred in Tennessee”, and listened to a bunch of country music growing up.

“Country music to me is the best music in the world. It’s storytelling and it means something and it can make you feel any emotion in the world and it’s just where my heart is,” the brunette beauty explained.

Lucy has been signed with Hollywood Records, working with producer Mark Bright on her new music. Lucy has also been working with Sugarland‘s Kristian Bush on the album, who admitted he was impressed with Lucy’s country side: “I would drive around in the car with her … and she always flips the station to the country station and always sings along louder than the radio. I’m like, ‘How do you know that song? I don’t even know that song. I’ve just heard of (the band) Florida Georgia Line. How did you get that? Did you get an advance copy?’ She just obsessively listens. Nothing creates a better writer or an artist than a great listener.”

Meanwhile, Lucy has kept busy on the set of her ABC Family show Pretty Little Liars, where she plays Aria Montgomery. ”(The album) is something I wanted to do way before ‘Pretty Little Liars’ or anything. I grew up singing, and acting sort of came up along the way. … (Recording) is a lot of weekends, it’s a lot of long nights but I’m so passionate about it … I’m just really excited.”

Lucy is expected to release her album later this year!

Pretty Little Liars actress Lucy Hale has revealed that she will be releasing her very own album soon, and now she has announced that her first album will be country!

To kick-start recording the album, Lucy will even get the chance to work with big names like Sugarland‘s Kristian Bush and some of Adele‘s writers as well.

“We have a week off from and I’m flying to Atlanta to write with Kristian Bush from Sugarland,” Lucy said in a recent interview. “They’re the biggest country band out there and I don’t even know how I got that. I don’t even know! I got an email about it and it was obviously a no-brainer.”

“I think I’m working with some people who have worked with Adele, which is really cool, although she’s not country. It’s sort of a lot of writers and producers who don’t do a lot of country, so it’s going to be a good mixture,” she added. “It’s going to be interesting, in a good way!”

Will Lucy consider working with her co-stars Tyler Blackburn or Keegan Allen on some songs?

“I’m so down. I was actually hanging out with ‘s a good performer, but on this album probably not, but maybe in the future!”

It has just been revealed that country superstar Taylor Swift‘s new movie The Lorax is scheduled to hit the theatres in exactly one year, March 2012. The movie is an animated 3D film that is based off of the popular children’s book by Dr. Seuss, and also has the voices of Zac Efron and Betty White.

Taylor made her acting debut last year, when she starred in the celebrity-packed film Valentine’s Day alongside Taylor Lautner. Since then, Taylor has also been a guest star on television series, and also put her comedy skills to use when she hosted Saturday Night Live.

Country princess Taylor Swift celebrates her big 21st birthday today! The highly successful country star has been in the music industry for only 5 years now, and has had huge success with her three albums and has won multiple awards.

When asked about her big birthday Taylor revealed, “I don’t feel older all of a sudden. It’s a state of mind thing, how you see the world, being excitable, staying excitable and impressionable and doing your best not to become jaded or bitter. I think keeping your mind and your heart open keeps you young.”

Dear John singer Taylor Swift was front and center tonight in Los Angeles on the red carpet at the 2010 American Music Awards. The country superstar showed off a new hairstyle, with straight hair and bangs along with a black jeweled dress for the red carpet.

During the show, Taylor picked up her seventh AMA for ‘Favorite Female Country Artist’! Congrats to Taylor!

With her new album Speak Now just hitting the shelves last week, Mean songstress Taylor Swift has just announce her newest project – her very own perfume! Taylor revealed that she’s been hard at work on her new scent and expects to have it out next fall for all her fans to enjoy!

“I have always loved how fragrance can shape a memory…the way certain scents remind you of events and people that are imprinted in your thoughts. Lately I’ve been having fun experimenting with combining some of my favorite scents, so I’m really excited about working with Elizabeth Arden to develop my own unique fragrance.”
