During the latest interview from Selena Gomez‘s photo shoot with Instyle Magazine, the singer opened up about her friends and how she makes her friendships work.

Despite her hectic schedule as she balances her acting and music careers, the Come and Get It songstress still manages to make time for her friends back home.

“My favourite things to do with my friends is to go to the beach, or watch movies at their house. Super low-key.” Selena says. “It’s just kind of our moment to be with each other. All my friends are always working or traveling so when I get to be with them we just like to be super low-key and have our own dance parties and stuff.”

What have Sel and her friends been dancing to lately? Her music from her upcoming album!

“My favourite song to dance to,and my friends actually, cause they’ve been a big part of me making my album with me in a way, would probably be at the moment Slow Down, which is a song I did with the Cataracs.” Selena said. “It was such a fun dance song and it makes all my friends just want to move and have a good time. But it changes every day, my whole album’s really dancey.”

As for keeping a lasting friendship with her pals, Selena says it’s important to be open and honest.

“The secret to a long-lasting friendship for me is honesty. I think in any relationship it’s the key thing.” She said.

“I’m super honest with my friends, if something’s bothering me I have to tell them, or vice versa. I just like being open with all by friends and not have to worry about them hurting my feelings. So I just always want to be open. And making me laugh. I have really fun friends that make me laugh, we make each other laugh.”

As she continues to prepare for her upcoming tour starting in August, Selena Gomez was spotted heading into a dance studio on Wednesday (May 15) to practice her moves. Wearing grey sweatpants, a white tank top, and a scarf, Selena kept her head down as she hopped out of her car and made her way inside.

Selena will soon be heading out on her Stars Dance tour starting this August where she will travel across the US and Canada with Emblem3. Selena has even revealed that she’s been working hard to prepare for this tour, as she wants to include more dancing and performance to provide fun entertainment for her fans.

Just yesterday, Selena shared a sexy video from inside the dance studio where she and her friends did a routine to her latest single Come and Get It. If you haven’t seen it yet, be sure to check it out here.

While working out at a dance studio yesterday, High School Musical hotties Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens filmed themselves breaking it down to Beyonce‘s hit single Who Runs the World (Girls).

Looks like they’re still amazing dancers!

Later on that night both Vanessa & Ashley headed out to Hollywood for the big premiere of V’s new movie Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.

The boys also answered some fan questions, including what dance move they would do to impress a girl, and even switched shirts with each other halfway through!

Hannah Montana actress Miley Cyrus celebrates her big 18th birthday today (November 23rd), and she plans on going dancing to celebrate! Over the weekend, Miley was spotted hosting a party after attending the 2010 American Music Awards where she was joined by pals like Ke$ha, Kelly Osbourne, and rumored boyfriend Avan Jogia.

“I’m going out dancing later — we rented out a space so all my friends can come,” Miley dished on her birthday plans. “Me and my mom actually have choreography for the night later — everyone loves when we dance in unison.”

Miley and her mom Tish have been practicing their moves together at home on the Xbox, where they play a game called Kinect. “There’s one where you do like, the fist pump. You ‘Jersey Shore’ it for a second!” Miley laughed. “We got a bunch of moves going on. Everyone goes wild when me and my mom have choreography, so it’s going to be good. My mom, she beats me at that game!” Miley added. “She had 600,000 points yesterday, I had 300,000. She is such a good dancer — she really gets it.”

With another holiday coming up this weekend for Miley (thanksgiving), the teen star has admitted that she celebrates all month long! “I have a birthday month,” she said. “I do the whole month of November. Thanksgiving, cake – all about me on Thanksgiving!”

With her new show Hellcats now airing every Wednesday, Ashley Tisdale spoke to ET about what it’s been like working on the show.

Ashley revealed that her big sis Jennifer helped prepared for the cheerleading show, “My sister was a cheerleader all through high school and college, so she helped me out when I was auditioning. She was: ‘Put your arms this way, because cheerleading is definitely different from dancing. It is stiffer.’”

Ashley also dished on her character, the cheer capitan Savannah: “I like her clothes. She has like a Southern flair.… When I think of a Southern chick, I think of little dresses all the time. She comes from a wealthy family. She is always in little floral outfits.”

When asked, Ash also admitted that she does a few stunts in the show! “I did. Everybody is open to what we feel comfortable doing. As an actress, and as a person, I have always liked to challenge myself. When I saw one of the stunts for the second episode, I said, “That looks like fun. I want to do it.” They take every precaution. We have coaches on the set at all times. In rehearsals, I am, “Aly, I am flying. You’ve got to do it, too, because it is the same stunt.” So she wanted to do it, too. She was, “Heck, yes.” So we learned it. I actually did the flying in the second episode. We get stunt doubles for the flips and stuff, but we like to go out there and actually do it ourselves.”

“Being up high is scary. But doing the flying back … I think you have to be a little crazy to be a cheerleader and, I think, I have the crazy in me.”

With her new album A Year Without Rain out TODAY, singer Selena Gomez shared with MTV about how she put her album together with her fans in mind.

” putting it in their car or putting it on their iPod and how I wanted them to listen to the record.”

“I wanted to make sure it made people feel good, but I also dedicated a couple songs to my fans, because there were moments onstage that I wish I could give to them, because they mean so much to me, So there are songs like ‘Intuition’ and ‘Spotlight’ that are specifically for my fans and a way of saying, ‘I get to live such a great life, but you guys deserve the spotlight as much as I do.’”

Selena also revealed how this album is different from the her debut album Kiss & Tell. “I think you can see that it’s more of a dance/techno vibe, I wanted it to be a feel-good record.”
