Stars stepped out to support LGBTQ issues on Friday (October 21), during the 2016 GLSEN Respect Awards at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.
The GLSEN Respect Awards are held annually in Los Angeles and New York to honor the work of students, educators, individuals, and corporations who have made a significant impact on the lives of LGBTQ youth. You can find out more about the organization here!
The two Disney Channel stars have just been announced as the newest cast members of NBC’s upcoming live musical production of Hairspray, and will be taking on the roles of Amber von Tussle (Dove) and Link Larkin (Garrett).
Other stars set to appear in the show include Harvey Fierstein as Edna Turnblad, Jennifer Hudson as Motormout Maybelle, Ariana Grande as Penny Pingleton, Kristin Chenoweth as Velma von Tussle, Martin Short as Wilbur Turnblad, Derek Hough as Corny Collins, and Maddie Baillio as Tracy Turnblad.
Hairspray Live! will air at 8 p.m. on December 7 on NBC.
The cast of Disney Channel’s highly anticipated movie Teen Beach 2 hit the red carpet in California on Monday (June 22) for the premiere of the new summer movie at the Walt Disney Studios.
Ross Lynch, Maia Mitchell, Grace Phipps, and Grace Phipps were all on hand for the big premiere, posing for pictures together on the red carpet before checking out the screening of the sequel to 2013’s Teen Beach Movie.
In the sequel, “Modern day teens Mack (Maia Mitchell) and Brady (Ross Lynch) get a real world visit from Lela (Grace Phipps), Tanner (Garrett Clayton), Butchy, and other surfer and biker pals from the beach party film within a film, West Side Story.”
Teen Beach 2 premieres on Disney Channel this Friday, June 26!
Modern Family star Nola Gould and Mighty Med‘s Bradley Steven Perry were spotted having a little gaming fun on Thursday (June 18), as they checked out the Nintendo booth at the 2015 E3 Gaming Convention at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
The two stars held a fun challenge between themselves while playing Super Mario Maker, while Bradley also battled it out with I Didn’t Do It actor Austin North on Mario Tennis Ultra Smash.

Teen Beach Movie 2 star Garrett Clayton was also spotted at the Nintendo Booth, where he tried out Mario and Luigi Paper Jam on the Nintendo 3DS.

Teen Beach Movie 2 star Garrett Clayton recently teamed up with singer/songwriter Tony Ferrari to perform a cover of Rachel Platten‘s Fight Song.
In the mean time, Garrett has been busy prepping for the premiere of the Teen Beach 2 this month on the Disney Channel, and has been hard at work in the dance studio working on his moves.
Teen Beach Movie 2 will premiere on the Disney Channel on June 26!
The wait is almost over!
Disney Channel has just announced the premiere date for its highly anticipated movie Teen Beach 2, which will air on Friday June 26th at 8/7 central.
The movie is a sequel to the 2013 Teen Beach Movie, which brought in 13.5 million viewers and was the second most-watched movie in cable TV history.
The movie, starring Ross Lynch, Maia Mitchell, Garrett Clayton, and Grace Phipps, will: “starts at the end of summer, as Brady and Mack head back to school — only to discover that the stars of the 1960s surf movie “Wet Side Story” have somehow made it into the real world. It’s a race to get those characters back into the “movie world” before it’s too late.”

The Disney Channel Original Movie Teen Beach Movie had massive success last year after it’s release, and now the cast are ready to follow up their hit with a sequel!
After rehearsing for the new DCOM for the past couple of weeks, the cast boarded a plane on Sunday (July 6) to head out to Puerto Rico to film Teen Beach Movie 2.
Actor Garrett Clayton (who plays Tanner), shared a pic on his instagram of some of the cast on the plane. Garrett was joined by Maia Mitchell (McKenzie / Mack), Grace Phipps (Lela), and Ross Lynch (Brady)’s brother Ryland Lynch.
According to Deadline, the sequel will follow: “the setup teased in the final scenes of Teen Beach Movie as modern day teens Mack and Brady get a real world visit from Lela, Tanner, Butchy, and other surfer and biker pals from the beach party pic within a pic, Wet Side Story.”
Watch out for the film to premiere on the Disney Channel in 2015!
