Despite multiple rumors saying that Taylor Momsen has been put on an ‘indefinite hiatus’ from the Gossip Girl, E! Online has revealed that the actress is still with the show.

According to multiple sources, Taylor “isn’t going anywhere”, and the behaviour problems that sparked the rumors are ‘nothing new’.

Taylor’s contract has her signed on up through the seventh season, with the show currently in it’s fourth season on the CW. “Jenny isn’t in college like everyone else, so it’s hard to weave her into the central storylines,” says one source. “We don’t want to just bring her in to hang out at the breakfast table with Lily and Rufus and say a line or two—we want a reason to have her there.”

In the mean time, Taylor has been busy with her music career. She is currently promoting her debut album Light me Up with her band The Pretty Reckless.

After filming a guest role on CW’s popular show Gossip Girl, fashion guru Tim Gunn has called out 17-year-old rocker Taylor Momsen on her behaviour on set.

“What a diva!” Tim gushed. “She was pathetic, she couldn’t remember her lines, and she didn’t even have that many. I thought to myself ‘why are we all being held hostage by this brat?”

Tim said that Taylor’s main fault was that she was on her Blackberry at every possible moment. “I’d say, ‘You know young lady, there are hundreds of thousands of girls who are just as attractive and even smarter than you. Why are you acting like this show is a huge burden on you?’ She was on her phone during every break, I wanted to tell her, ‘If you weren’t on your BlackBerry, you can retain this stuff.’ ”

“I’d just ask her ‘do you want to share with me why you’re always on your phone?’ At one point the director leaned in and whispered to me, ‘this is day in, day out, my life.’ She annoyed the entire crew.”

Taylor has returned to Gossip Girl for new episodes later on in Season 4, which airs Monday nights on the CW.

Zombie songstress Taylor Momsen is known for her provocative fashion choices, and the Gossip Girl star has revealed that she used to be teased about her fashion choices as a kid.

“I haven’t lived a normal life and even though I did go to school I was in and out. I had like, two friends growing up, but now my band is like my family,” Taylor said. “I didn’t have the chance to go to school and be normal. I was always kind of the weird kid who was in movies and I was very shy. And when I was at elementary school in Missouri I used to wear knee-high socks and got made fun of all the time, now I’m famous for my thigh-highs. Ironic.”

Taylor, who is the lead singer for the band The Pretty Reckless also mentioned that their debut album Light Me Up will give fans an inside look at Taylor’s true personality. She also insisted that she is nothing like her character on the hit CW television series Gossip Girl.

“Well I’m not my character, I’m an actress and I’m a completely different person to Jenny,” Taylor explained. “You see me on TV every week and I look the same, so fans think they know me and my life. But it’s not my life, my life is very, very different. I mean it’s dark and twisty and whatever people might say about the record – it’s all, ‘Oh she’s crazy’ but they don’t mean it in a negative way. Yes, I have a personality.”

Going back to her acting roots, Taylor Momsen was seen back on the set of Gossip Girl yesterday afternoon (August 30th) as she filmed a guest appearance for the upcoming 4th season of the hit CW show. Dressed in a glamorous blue mini dress, Taylor was spotted out and about on the New York set in between takes.

Taylor has been busy promoting her music and upcoming album Light me Up (out on September 10th) with her band The Pretty Reckless.
