Zara Larsson dishes on Touring, being Confident & Justin Bieber Dating Rumours

Posted on 3 min read 80 views

Singer Zara Larsson recently chatted with H&M in an all-new interview, where she opened up about life on the road during her current US tour with Clean Bandit.

During the interview, Zara also opened up on her career and how she stays confident, while also clearing up those Justin Bieber dating rumours.

#ZaraLarsson x @hm

A post shared by Zara Larsson (@zaralarsson) on

On Her All-Girl Tour Crew:

“Honestly, it wasn’t a plan or request from my end to have only girls with me on this tour, it just happened. Most of the people I work with are women and I’m comfortable with that, but I have no problems working with guys either.”

On Being On Tour:

“I have the world’s best dancers with me and I love to hang out with them, so I never feel alone here. Sure, I miss my family and my close friends, but I’m doing what I love and it’s easy to be on tour, everything is routine.”

Zara Larsson for H&M

On Her Rising Popularity:

“It’s pretty surreal. It’s only been a few years since I was waiting outside concerts to see my idols, and now people like me in the same way as I like other bands and artists.”

On What She’ll Do if Singing Doesn’t Work Out:

“I want all of this so badly, and I love to dream big. But I’m not naïve and I know that things don’t always pan out the way I’ve thought in my head. Whatever happens, I’m never going to stop singing and I know that I will be doing this for the rest of my life. As long as I have good people around me, continue to like what I’m doing and work hard, it will work out.”

Zara Larsson for H&M

On Her Relationship Status:

“No I’m super single right now. Or, I’m not dating just one person, to put it that way.”

On Justin Bieber Dating Rumours:

“I wish! That’s completely unfounded, but I would be interested to talk to him if we met again. We’ve said hello in a restaurant once, but definitely nothing more than that. It’s strange with the mythology around famous people, because once you meet them you realise they’re just regular people. The only person I want to keep on my superstar pedestal is Beyoncé.”

Zara Larsson for H&M

On Being a Confident Person:

“Yeah, I am and I always have been. It’s always been natural for me to take a lot of space and I’m confident in my talent, that I’m great at what I do. I’ve always loved singing and I’m really happy about this. That all of this is happening.”

On When She’s Not Confident:

“When I’m being interviewed on TV because I’m not really used to that. But I’m especially nervous when I’m releasing new material – I’m never fully confident that people are going to like it or listen to it, it’s scary. But again, in the end it doesn’t really matter because I’m proud of what I do and I’m working with the thing I love the most in the world.”

Zara’s new collection with H&M will also be hitting stores and be available online on May 18!

Justin Bieber’s ‘Cold Water’ with Major Lazer Debuts at #2 on Billboard’s Hot 100

Posted on 1 min read 93 views

Looks like Justin Bieber has another hit on his hands!

After Major Lazer‘s new single Cold Water featuring Justin Bieber dropped on July 22nd, the song has made it’s debut on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the #2 spot after raking in 169,000 downloads and 19.6 million streams in the U.S. within its first week.

After its release, the song reached #1 on the iTunes charts in 68 countries and has already been certified Gold in Australia.

While Justin lent his vocals to the new hit track, British singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran is also credited as one of the writers of the song with Benny Blanco.

When speaking of how the song came together, Major Lazer says:

“I had been trying to link with Benny Blanco and Ed Sheeran for years to find the right song we could all work on together and the moment I heard this one, I knew that it was the one. The timing was perfect and when we approached Justin, he was also in love with the song we all had written. I thought it would be interesting to incorporate another vocal and seeing she’s family, I reached out to MØ and we decided to try our best to make something fresh and interesting as Major Lazer.”

Justin Bieber Hits up the 2016 BBMAs, Posts: “These award shows seem so hollow”

Posted on 2 min read 66 views

Singer Justin Bieber made an appearance in Las Vegas on Sunday (May 22), where he hit the stage during the 2016 Billboard Music Awards to perform a mashup of his songs Company and Sorry during the award ceremony.

While Justin skipped the red carpet and only made an appearance during the show, the 22-year-old was also spotted taking the stage to accept an award for Top Male Artist, while also winning the Top Social Media Artist award.

After the show, Justin shared his thoughts on award shows on his Instagram page, writing:

“I don’t know about these award shows.. No disrespect to anybody at any of the shows or the people running it. Nothing but love for you guys and your support. But I don’t feel good when I’m there nor after. I try to think of it as a celebration but can’t help feeling like people are rating and grading my performance. A lot of people in the audience there to be seem worried about how much camera time they will get or who they can network with. When I’m doing a regular show I feel they are there for the right reasons and to strictly have a good time! But these award shows seem so hollow. I get the premise is to award people for their accomplishments, but is it really? Because when I look in the audience I see a bunch of fake smiles so that when the camera hits them they look happy. Sure there are people truly proud of others so I don’t want to knock them I’m just looking at the vast majority. I just think to myself if I’m living my purpose I want the reward to be fulfillment. I’m getting awarded for the things that I’m doing and not for who I am which is understandable I know it would probably be hard to calculate and award someone’s spirit lol. But When I do get these awards the temptation of putting my worth in what I do is so hard to fight!!!I am privileged and honored to be recognized by my peers in but in these settings I can’t feel the recognition. There’s an authenticity missing that I crave! And I wonder does anybody else.. Sorry not sorry about grammar it’s not my strong point”

Sure there are people truly proud of others so I don't want to knock them I'm just looking at the vast majority. I just think to myself if I'm living my purpose I want the reward to be fulfillment. I'm getting awarded for the things that I'm doing and not for who I am which is understandable I know it would probably be hard to calculate and award someone's spirit lol. But When I do get these awards the temptation of putting my worth in what I do is so hard to fight!!!I am privileged and honored to be recognized by my peers in but in these settings I can't feel the recognition. There's an authenticity missing that I crave! And I wonder does anybody else.. Sorry not sorry about grammar it's not my strong point
