As she continues to promote her new film On the Road, actress Kristen Stewart has opened up about filming the movie, including her nude scene.
“I do hate also when people go, ‘Oh, wow, great performance. So brave,’ ” Kristen said in a recent interview. “Oh, because I’m naked? That’s very annoying. But at the same time, if that’s what they’re focusing on, then On the Road probably isn’t for them anyway.”
Before taking on the role, Kristen read the original 1957 novel and was determined to capture the essence of her character completely.
“This book celebrates being alive and it celebrates being human, and if you want to cover up and deny any aspect of that, you are denying the spirit of the book,” She explained.
“I need to be so rocked by something, so moved by something that the idea of letting it down or ruining it is painful, and that’s what gets you through the shoot,” she said. “If you start also considering what people are going to think, you’ll never make a movie.”
The star has also signed on the star in a new comedy movie titled Focus alongside Ben Affleck, which will begin filming in April 2013.
While being honoured by PETA last week, Glee hottie Lea Michele revealed that she isn’t opposed to posing naked for a PETA Ad.
“I don’t think we need to see a billboard of me naked to know I am anti-fur,” Lea said. “But if they asked I would probably do it.”
Lea was honoured at the PETA Humanitarian Awards for all the selfless deeds she does with animals, like rescuing stray animals on set.
Charlie St. Cloud actor Zac Efron has admitted that he’s not opposed to getting naked on-screen in the future, if it’s the right role.
“It would be funny to become fat first and then get naked in front of the camera.” Zac joked, “For the right role I would probably do almost anything. I think I would go quite far.”
Zac also shared how he keeps himself down-to-earth with so many adoring female fans everywhere he goes, “When girls scream it’s not an acknowledgement you should let get to your head. It’s exciting and a thrilling experience but you shouldn’t pride yourself on it. I don’t come home at night thinking I’m heaven-knows-who just because they start screaming. When I work hard for something it’s easier to accept the acknowledgment for that. “This exaltation was just there and will disappear again. I always keep that in mind and concentrate on projects I will be able to do when this hype dies down.”
