With just a couple weeks to go until the big premiere of Nickelodeon’s new show Sam & Cat, the stars of the show Ariana Grande and Jennette McCurdy sat down to talk about their new show, as well as their real-life friendship!

Both girls are known for being singers, however, they revealed that they will not be singing on the new show!

“We don’t sing it ” Ariana told Just Jared Jr. “Michael Corcoran sings it, who did the theme song for iCarly and all the songs on Victorious.”

“Basically, Dan Schneider, the producer, he asked us ahead of time if we wanted to sing and we just didn’t want to.” Jennette added. “We wanted to make a show that was funny and that really focused on one thing, and entertaining kinds. Our music definitely does that too, but we kind of wanted to keep it separate.”

Ariana continued, “And every other show is musically-driven now, since Hannah Montana, so we wanted to do something classic, a classic TV show. And the vibe of the theme song, the first time you hear it, it sounds like a classic.”

As for Ariana and Jennette, the pair were already pals beforehand from working with Nickelodeon. When asked about their first impressions of each other, Ariana said “‘Wow, she’s the coolest.’”

“I thought Ariana was so fun and so friendly to people.” Jennette said. “It was at a promo shoot and Nathan and I were hanging out, and she came right over, gave us hugs, and was like, “Hi! I watch iCarly.” I told her I looked up one of her songs, “Stick Around.” I told her she had an amazing voice. We started talking about iCarly and we found out we have the same birthday, we were singing “Jingle Bells” together. It was good memories.”

“It was fun! I was like, “Oh my gosh, Mom, Jennette is so cool!”” Ariana said.

Jennette added, “You called Nathan and I “babies.””

“That was my thing back then. I called everyone “babies.”” Ariana said. “Like, “Oh my god, that’s babies.” It made no sense, but at 14, that was like the cool thing to me.”

Nickelodeon star Ariana Grande was spotted rocking a pretty pink dress yesterday (April 22) as she hit up the T.J. Martell Foundation’s 13th Annual Family Day in New York.

At the event, Ariana took the stage to perform her song Pink Champagne before doing a meet and greet with her NY fans. “Just had my meet & greet @ @TJMartell Family Day.. Amazing 2 see how many parents & kids came out 2 support such a beautiful cause! Thank u!” Ariana tweeted after the event before flying back to Los Angeles.

Over the weekend, Ariana also revealed that she got a tattoo! The singer got a heart inked onto her toe, check it out in this instagram photo she tweeted right here. So cute!

She may have not won the first season of The X Factor, but it looks as though 14-year-old Rachel Crow is heading into the spotlight as a teen star!

According to E Online, Rachel has signed a record deal with Columbia Records along with plans to star in her very own Nickelodeon television series.

“Good morning Crowmies so I finally get to share!! Were u all excited to hear about Nickelodeon and Columbia records? Cause I sure was” Rachel tweeted earlier today after revealing the news. “I just want to say that u all inspire me so much to do my best. I never forget for 1 second that w/out all of u this would not be happening.”

Can’t wait to see more of Rachel? She’ll be on the small screen as a guest star in the new Nickelodeon series Fred: The Show as a reoccurring guest star this spring before her own series debuts!

Rachel’s former X Factor mentor Simon Cowell also shared his excitement for the young star. In a recent statement he said, “I am incredibly happy for Rachel. This girl has it. We saw her potential at the first audition, and Nickelodeon and Columbia are the right homes for her.”

While on a trip to England, actress Victoria Justice took some time to greet some fans in London as she held a signing at HMV in London (February 22). Looking to be ready for spring in a bright pink and black button-up shirt, Victoria promoted her hit Nickelodeon serie Victorious and even took some time to perform!

“Wow!! What an awesome signing at HMV in London. Love meeting u all in person :{). Thank u 4 coming out guys!” Victoria tweeted after the signing, where a fan even gave her a Hall & Oates album.

Victoria is currently heading out to Spain to continue with her press work after attending the Brit Awards last night, and doing a retro photo shoot this morning. Check out this cute pic from the shoot she tweeted here!

Nickelodeon stars gathered in Los Angeles yesterday afternoon for the premiere of iParty with Victorious! Victoria Justice was joined by her castmates Avan Jogia, Leon Thomas III, Ariana Grande, Daniella Monet, and Matt Bennett on the Orange Carpet to celebrate the new episode of her hit series.

Along with the Victorious cast, stars such as iCarly‘s Miranda Cosgrove, Nathan Kress, and Jennette McCurdy checked out the premiere along with Josh Peck, Modern Family‘s Ariel Winter, and True Jackson‘s Ashley Argota!

Last night in Hollywood, stars stepped out in their glam dresses and suits to hit up the premiere of Disney’s newest movie Prom (April 21st). Stars of the film Aimee Teegarden, Thomas McDonell, and Danielle Campbell were all front and center on the red carpet as they posed for pictures before heading into the screening of the movie.

Other celebs also showed up to check out the movie, including Friday singer Rebecca Black, The Suite Life‘s Debby Ryan, Wizards of Waverly Place stars Jennifer Stone and Jake T Austin, along with Kylie & Kendall Jenner and many more!

Monte Carlo cutie Selena Gomez blew kisses to the cameras Saturday night (April 2nd) as she walked the orange carpet at the 2011 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards. The Wizards of Waverly Place actress also picked up an orange blimp for Favorite TV Actress for her role on her Emmy-winning Disney series.

On the orange carpet, Selena was also caught catching up with pal Cory Monteith, who she shared a hug with before posing for pictures together.

Selena will be making an appearance on Tuesday evening (April 5th) with her band on Dancing with the Stars, where they are scheduled to perform her latest single Who Says. Be sure to tune in to see her performance!

Nickelodeon stars Miranda Cosgrove and Nathan Kress were on-hand last night in Hollywood to attend the 2011 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards. Miranda walked the orange carpet in a bright pink dress, along with bold red lips while Nathan looked sharp in a blue shirt and vest.

The pair picked up an award last night for their show iCarly, which won Favorite TV Show! Congrats!
