Harry Potter actor Rupert Grint will soon be making his return to the big screen!
After the hit Harry Potter series came to an end last summer, Rupert Grint has been taking on some new roles to expand his career. Now, the British actor has just signed onto two new movies!
According to Variety, Rupert will be starring alongside Shia LaBeouf in “The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman”. The movie is based on Shia’s character who ‘falls for a woman who’s been claimed by a violent crime boss’ and also stars Evan Rachel Wood.
The next project Rupert has signed on to star in is “CBGB”. Also in the movie is Rupert’s Harry Potter co-star Alan Rickman. Rickman will be playing “CBGB owner Hilly Kristal and the New York City club’s impact on the underground music scene, highlighting artists like the Talking Heads, the Ramones and Blondie. Grint will play Cheetah Chrome of the Dead Boys, who played a prominent role during the club’s rise.”

The new list of nominations for this years show have been posted, revealing that smash-hits Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows: Part 2 and The Hunger Games lead this years nominations with Harry Potter receiving 5 nominations, and the Hunger Games bringing in 6.
Other top movies that were nominated include Breaking Dawn Part 1, The Help, and Project X.

The final movie from the Harry Potter series made its way into theaters this weekend, breaking records as it comes in as the biggest opening of all time. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 2 brought in $168.6 million after being in theaters for just three days! The former leader in biggest opening was The Dark Knight which opened with $158.4 million back in 2008.
The previous Harry Potter movie also opened big on it’s opening weekend, debuting with $125 million.
With the final movie hitting theatres in just 3 days, the cast of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 made an appearance in New York last night (July 11th) to attend the premiere of the movie. Emma Watson looked pretty in a Bottega Veneta gown and some daring makeup as she hit the red carpet along with Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Tom Felton, and Matthew Lewis.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 opens in theaters this Friday (July 15th)! It is the eighth and final film in the Harry Potter series.

Looking sharp in a suit, Rupert stopped off to walk the red carpet, before talking to the press about his experience with the Harry Potter series, and sign some autographs for fans.
