As her fourth studio album DEMI takes over the charts, singer Demi Lovato has released the second episode in the Story of Demi series.
In the new episode, Demi talks about some of the new songs on her record and how they came to be. One of the most personal songs she wrote, named Warrior, is so close to the 20-year-old that she even admitted it can be hard for her to perform live.
“I have a really hard time when I play that song for other people. I kinda don’t want to be in the room, cause I feel like, butt naked.” Demi said. “I mean, it’s an honesty that I think people will relate to, and I hopefully will help someone, help inspire them to overcome something that I’ve been through.”
Another personal song with lots of meaning behind it is one of Demi’s personal favorites from the album, Nightingale.
“Nightingale is definitely a personal song. It’s about one of my friends actually that passed away when we were thirteen, and I feel like sometimes I literally know when he’s in the room with me. I just have a really strong connection to him, I feel like he’s my nightingale.”
Demi also expressed her passion for music, saying that she doesn’t plan on stopping any time soon!
“Yes I am an artist, but at the end of the day I’m just creating music that I like. I definitely think I’m going to be an artist for the rest of my life.” she said.

Demi’s album is also available NOW! You can download it on iTunes here
On Monday, Demi Lovato surprised fans by letting them unlock the songs from her new album on Twitter so that they could listen to the full album on her Official Website.
Since, the web has been buzzing about Demi’s new album (titled DEMI), chatting about which songs are their favourite – Demi even revealed herself that some of her personal favorites are Nightingale and Warrior!
So far, Demi’s debut single from the album Heart Attack has been steadily climbing the charts, while the singer just filmed a new music video for the second single off of the album, Made in the USA.
Demi’s album will be officially released on May 14th, but in the mean time if you haven’t heard the tracks already you can listen to them here!
Amazepop have just posted their very own review of Demi’s new album, and what they think of each track! Check out what they have to say below!
1. ‘Heart Attack’ – Well, we all already know that this is the track of the decade, right?
2. ‘Made In The USA’ – With amazing pop production and an incredible, blazing chorus, this would make an easy choice as a follow-up single, perfectly geared towards the summer months. It has a bit of a banjo-y feel in places that puts it in the same ballpark as much of Taylor Swift’s output, only this has much, much bigger lungs.
While promoting her fourth studio album, singer Demi Lovato chatted with Evolve about the new record, and what songs she’s excited for her fans to hear!
“My self titled album “DEMI” comes out on May 14th and is by FAR the best reflection of who I am as a person to date.” Demi said. “I touch on some really heavy topics this time around, so I feel like this album is a definite step up for me musically and a great way to mature with my fans and open up to them about sides of me they’ve yet to meet.”
Demi, who leaked the album yesterday for fans to listen online (if you haven’t already, be sure to listen to it here!) opened up about what songs on the album mean the most to her. “The song that stands out to me that I think fans will absolutely LOVE is Nightingale. It’s one of my personal favorites on the album that has a really deep, personal meaning to me.” She said. “Warrior is also one that I think fans will be in love with because I know I am… But I don’t want to give away too much!!”
Now that Demi’s album has just been released, Demi will be busy on the road promoting the new record and be away from home. How exactly does she get through tough times while being in this demanding business?
“No matter how cheesy or cliche this may sound, the things that keep me going are God, my family, my fans, and music.” Demi revealed.
“I have no idea where I would be had I not been in this industry with such an amazing fan base who supports me and loves me at my highest highs and my lowest lows and I don’t even want to imagine it. I owe my existence to love, faith, and passion.”
While the official release date for her next album DEMI is set for May 14th, singer Demi Lovato surprised fans by letting them unlock the songs from her album to listen to them on her official website.
By tweeting the names of the tracks, fans have been unlocking songs one-by-one all afternoon and have yet to stop! Demi’s next single Made in the USA is one of the new tracks that have already been unlocked! We love it already!

Despite multiple rumours that she had dropped out of school, British actress Emma Watson insists she is still planning on finishing her education. The Harry Potter star revealed her education plans, clearing up all the rumours.
“I’m going to Oxford in the fall, to study English for a year.” She explained, “Just to explain, I haven’t left Brown. I’m still enrolled at Brown, but I’m doing my third year abroad to study at home.”
Emma also talked about her connection to her character Hermione Granger. “I’m also a bit of a feminist. I speak my mind in the same way that she does… I feel like young girls are told they have to be a princess, and be delicate and fragile, and that’s bulls**t. I identify much more with the idea of being a warrior, being a fighter. If I was going to be a princess, I’d be a warrior princess, definitely.”
Harry Potter hits theatres this Friday (July 15th)!
