Feud rumours between New Zealand artists Lorde and Iggy Azalea began a little while back when Iggy said in an interview that “she didn’t think Lorde was a good fit for the Nirvana tribute at the recent Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.”
While the story made a big buzz around the internet, the girls have insisted that there’s no bad blood between the two.
When asked about the rumours, Lorde said: “I’ve been in a position where I’ve said something in an interview where I’ve thought: ‘Damn, I wish I could take that back.’”
She continued, “I don’t know how [Azalea] is feeling about it. But anyone who’s doing well deserves respect, and I respect what she’s doing.”
Iggy also tweeted a clarification of what she meant by her comment, saying:” consider lorde my very talented friend.
I find it ironic 2 girls tell the media theyre full of shit & weeks later supposedly I dislike her”
The rapper then added,“My opinion on the makings of a touching musical tribute wasn’t meant as some back door way to take a dig at her or the performance she gave”
