Country-turned-pop artist Taylor Swift has just been announced as one of the nominees for this year’s CMA Awards, joining some of Country’s top stars such as Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood and more.
Taylor has been nominated for the Female Vocalist of the Year award, for her work on her 2012 album Red.
The award show will air on Wednesday November 5 on ABC, with Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood hosting the event.
Taylor finished up her Red tour a couple of months ago, before making the big announcement that she will be venturing into pop music for her fifth studio album 1989. The singer’s lead single off of her new album Shake it Off was released on August 18, and has been blowing up the charts ever since.
Be sure to tune into the CMA Awards on November 5 to see if Taylor takes home the award or not!
