Singer Taylor Swift graces the cover of the newest issue of People Magazine for its 40th anniversary.
The 24-year-old Shake it Off singer helps the magazine celebrate its new milestone by recreating Mia Farrow‘s iconic look from the Great Gatsby, which was featured on the cover of the very first issue of People magazine in 1974.
“The last couple of years have been about defining life on my own terms,” Taylor says in the magazine. “Being on my own, prioritizing my girlfriends, my family and my music above everything else and trying things I never thought I’d try. It’s really been a liberating and freeing time.”
“I made the decision to spend time on my own and figure out who I am,” Taylor says on her new care-free lifestyle where she’s embraced being single.
“When you take the other person out of the scenario and you’re walking through life on your own, you end up figure out what you actually like without anyone else’s input.” the star adds.
“I’m not too worried about whether I meet someone, I’m going to be happy either way.”
