Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke has just been announced as one of the stars of Phillip Noyce‘s upcoming thriller Above Suspicion.
Emilia will topline the film alongside actor Jack Huston in the film adaptation of the novel written by New York Times columnist Joe Sharkey.
According to Variety, Above Suspicion is: “the chilling true story of a newly married FBI poster boy assigned to an Appalachian mountain town in Kentucky. There he is drawn into an illicit affair with an impoverished local woman who becomes his star informant. She sees in him her means of escape; instead, it’s a ticket to disaster for both of them. This scandal shook the foundations of the nation’s top law enforcement agency, ending in the first ever conviction of an FBI agent for murder.”
The movie will be produced by Colleen Camp, and is set to begin principal photography later this month.
In the meantime, you can catch Emilia in the sixth season of Game of Thrones every Sunday night on HBO. Emilia’s new romance movie Me Before You will also be hitting theatres later this summer.
