Actress Shailene Woodley popped up in Toronto, Canada on Friday (September 9), where she premiered her new movie Snowden at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival.
The Divergent star was all smiles as she arrived at the premiere, greeting awaiting fans and posing for pictures in a green sequinned gown.
Earlier that night, Shailene rocked a purple ruffled mini-dress as she attended the Snowden pre-party hosted by Audi and Nespresso:
Shailene was also spotted doing more promo work for the film the following morning (September 10), where she joined co-stars Melissa Leo, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Zachary Quinto, along with director Oliver Stone for a press conference in Toronto.
In the movie that delves into the personal story of Edward Snowden – the man who exposed the NSA for its illegal surveillance activities – Shailene plays the role of Lindsay, a woman who Edward Snowden (played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt) meets on a dating site called Geek-Mate.
The film has already gotten positive reviews, with Variety praising Shailene’s performance: “Woodley gives a performance of breathtaking dimension: As the movie goes on, she makes Lindsay supportive and selfish, loving and stricken.”
Snowden will hit theaters on September 16th!
