Singer Shawn Mendes made an appearance in Los Angeles this Tuesday (September 27), where he promoted his new album Illuminate at The Grammy Museum.
During his appearance, Shawn sat down with Scott Goldman, the Vice President of the Grammy Foundation, to chat about his new music, and also took the stage to perform some of his new songs for fans.
Shawn is also featured on Billboard‘s latest podcast, where he opened up on fan reaction to his new music:
“It’s been amazing to see the reaction” he said. “I was just really nervous that maybe it was too mature in some spots. They seem to be really, really vibin’ with it, which is just the best feeling in the world.”
“[I’m] growing up, still being myself, yet I feel like I’m learning so much every single month … and that really shows through in the music on a serious level.” Shawn said.
During his interview, Shawn also dished on his upcoming Illuminate World Tour, where he finds song inspiration, and how it felt to have “Treat you Better” become successful outside of his core fan base.
