Lily Collins‘s new series The Last Tycoon has been cancelled by Amazon after just one season.

Variety broke the news of the cancellation on Saturday (Sept. 9), just a few days after Amazon cancelled another one of its series, Z: The Beginning of Everything, and after Amazon Studios reportedly announce a shift in its strategy towards producing more global-hit series like Game of Thrones.

The Last Tycoon also starred Kelsey Grammer, Matt Bomer and Jennifer Beals and was explored Hollywood life in the 1930s.

In other news, Lily was recently announced as one of the stars of the upcoming J.R.R. Tolkien biopic ‘Tolkien.’ Lily will star alongside Nicholas Hoult in the film about the famous Lord of the Rings author, and will play Edith Bratt, Tolkein’s wife who is also the inspiration behind the elven princess characters in Lord of the Rings.
