Noah Cyrus stars in PETA’s Boycott SeaWorld Ad

Singer Noah Cyrus has teamed up with PETA to star in their new Boycott Seaworld Ad, which aims to pressure SeaWorld to stop keeping Orcas in tanks.

In a new image for PETA shot by celebrity photographer Brian Bowen Smith, Noah poses in a tank near the ocean between the words: “Life’s No Beach in Captivity. Boycott SeaWorld.”

Noah on working with PETA:

“I’m very excited to show anyone of any age that we want SeaWorld to do the right thing and release the [SeaWorld] Orcas to a sanctuary,” Noah told PETA while on set for the shoot. “That is something I’m very passionate about.”

“I love animals so much. To think that any animal would be trapped—it makes me so sad,” Noah said. “It’s like living in your bedroom for your entire life and never being able to go outside.”

“What a lot of the public doesn’t know and what I’m sure my fans aren’t aware of, [is that] Orcas have died living at SeaWorld and that has not been from old age,” she said.

“You should always speak up. That’s what I like to teach my fans — to be real and speak up for things you’re passionate about.”

PETA is an animal rights organization that works to protect animals in the food industry, in the clothing trade, laboratories, and the entertainment industry. The organization also provides public education, cruelty investigations, research, animal rescue, legislation, special events, celebrity involvement, and protest campaigns.

So glad that Noah is speaking out. SeaWorld exploits animals–that’s why people who care about their welfare won’t set foot near any SeaWorld park.
