Taylor Swift Drops Hints About New Album Title, Breaks YouTube Records with ‘ME!’

Taylor Swift is putting her fans to work.

The singer took to Twitter on Friday (April 26) after releasing the music video for her new single ME!, telling fans that among the easter eggs hidden in the video is the name of her new album along with the name of her second single.

“So… the new album title is actually revealed somewhere in the video AND so is the title of the second single, but I haven’t seen people finding them yet…” Taylor said.

So far, a popular guess among fans is Kaleidoscope or Kaleidoscope Hearts. Meanwhile, other fans have been speculating that the neon sign reading ‘Lovers’ in the background of the video is the title of Taylor’s second single.

Despite all the guessing happening on social media, Taylor has yet to confirm or deny any fan theories so far.

During a recent interview on Good Morning America, Taylor spoke about how much fun it is to add little clues to her music videos thanks to her fans’ dedication.

“The fans are amazing, I cannot believe how dedicated they are, how thoughtful, I can’t believe how much they care,” Taylor said. “So it makes it more fun for me to create music, create music videos, knowing that they’ll care about little easter eggs, or clues or hints.”

“You have no idea how much fun that is to make stuff for people who care about it that much.”

Meanwhile, the ME! music video has broken several YouTube records since its release on Friday (April 26). With 65.2 million views, the video now holds the record for all-time leading female and solo 24-hour debut for any music video on YouTube and is also the biggest 24-hour debut for any of Taylor’s music videos.

“GUYS!! YOU DID THIS!!!! CANNOT STOP SMILING <3 <3 <3 And I’m not trying to be loud but 65.2 million views… ?? and 6+5+2=………….” Taylor tweeted after the news of her new YouTube records was announced.

Taylor’s new song also broke records over on Amazon Music, including the records for most first-day streams and on-demand voice requests with Alexa.
