While they may have just dropped their latest EP Map of the Soul: Persona last month, K-Pop superstars BTS are gearing up to release a new Japanese single in just a couple months time.
BTS will be releasing a new Japanese single digitally on July 3, which will include a new original song Lights and the Japanese version of their hit songs Boy with Luv and IDOL. The single will be also be released in physical form in the U.S. on July 5.
The new song, Lights, will be BTS’ first Japanese original song in four years that will be accompanied by a music video.
According to a press release, BTS’ new song Lights “conveys the message of hope that one can connect with others through sound and see each other’s lights whenever they close their eyes.”
The new single will also come in three different limited editions, which will come with the CD (featuring Lights, the Japanese version of Boy with Luv, and the Japanese version of IDOL), and:
- Limited Edition A: Includes a DVD with the Lights and IDOL music video
- Limited Edition B: Includes the making of the Lights video and the making of the jacket photos
- Limited Edition C: Includes a 36-page photo booklet including exclusive photos of the group
Meanwhile, BTS’ Map of the Soul: Persona hit No. 1 in 86 different regions upon its release, reaching the top of the Billboard 200 chart and the U.K’s Official Albums Chart 100.
BTS are currently supporting their latest release on their Love Yourself: Speak Yourself tour, and will be performing this weekend in Chicago before heading to New Jersey the following week. You can find out more about their shows and tickets here.
