While she may have hit the stage at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards for the big live debut of her song Boy with Luv with BTS, singer Halsey also put on a second performance during this year’s award show, with her hit single Without Me.
During the dramatic and emotional performance, Halsey performed an interpretive dance with a female dancer as she sang about being left behind by a lover after working so hard to lift them up.
While walking the red carpet before the event, Halsey spoke about her performances with E!, saying that her Without Me performance is “a really dark and sensual performance. I’m really excited about it,” she said.
As for her second performance with BTS, Halsey said: “The one with BTS is super fun and friendly. I think it shows our personalities a lot. I think a lot of people are really curious about the collaboration.”
Halsey also dished on what it was like working with the K-Pop superstars, saying: “They’re from Korea and I’m from the States. We show that despite what seems like a language barrier is just kind of unimportant when it comes down to a bunch of young people who really love music. We just love hanging out and it really shows through.”
