The cast of Spider-Man: Far From Home came together in London, England on Wednesday (June 19) for a special Q&A about the latest installment of the popular Marvel franchise.
The Q&A featured the movie’s cast, including Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jake Gyllenhaal, Jacob Batalon, and Samuel L. Jackson sat down to chat about what’s to come in the new movie and the Marvel universe as a whole.
“Sam said we’ve taken Spider-Man out of Queens, and we’ve put him on the world stage,” Tom said quoting Samuel L. Jackson about the new movie. “And that in it’s own right ups the stakes.”
“I often say that Spider-Man’s gone from the friendly neighborhood-saving Spider-Man to the friendly universe-saving Spider-Man,” Tom said.
Zendaya also spoke about her character Michelle’s relationship with Peter Parker.
“I think what’s sweet about their relationship is they kind of have to lean on each other,” She said. “We’ve all been through this weird thing and now we’re just kind of stuck together.”
“And we’ve always kind of been I think the outcasts, and I think that they find that they actually can see each other and appreciate each other for all the weird, quirky, awkwardness that they are because that’s just who they are. And they like it about each other which is really, really sweet I think,” she said.
During the Q&A the cast also talks about Spider-Man and Mysterio teaming up, how the name Far from Home was chosen for the film, and more.
