Zendaya on Lindsay Lohan’s comments on her Met Gala Look: “I didn’t feel hurt by it.”

Zendaya has addressed Lindsay Lohan‘s comments about her Met Gala look, revealing that the actresses’ comments didn’t hurt her.

Back in May, the Spider-Man: Far From Home star lit up the red carpet at the 2019 Met Gala, where she channeled her inner Cinderella for a fairy-tale red carpet look.

Afterwards, Lindsay Lohan left comments on Zendaya’s Instagram post of her look, comparing it to actress Claire Danes‘ light-up dress from the 2016 Met Gala.

Claire Danes did that with @zacposen already 😭,” Lindsay wrote on Zendaya’s post.

Lindsay added: “@clairedanes you wore this dress so beautifully, I don’t know why someone thinks that they can be more chic. Ever.”

While doing promotion for Spider-Man: Far From Home, Zendaya spoke about the comments, saying:

“I didn’t feel hurt by it and it didn’t make me sad because I have no idea what that person is going through.”

“Maybe in some strange way, that comment made them feel better that day,” she said. “People are only negative because negativity is eating away at them.”

In the meantime, you can catch Zendaya in her new series Euphoria, which is now airing Sunday night on HBO.

Spider-Man: Far From Home will also hit the big screen on July 2.
