Arrowverse Stars Cover Special Edition of Entertainment Weekly

In honor of Arrow‘s upcoming final season, the stars of DC’s Arrowverse have gathered to be featured on a special edition of Entertainment Weekly.

The new issue has five different covers featuring five Arrowverse heroes, including Arrow’s Stephen Amell, The Flash’s Grant Gustin, Supergirl‘s Melissa Benoist, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow‘s Caity Lotz, and Batwoman‘s Ruby Rose.

“I’m very emotional and melancholy, but it’s time,” Stephen told EW about the show’s final season “I’m 38 years old, and I got this job when I was 30. I’d never had a job for more than a year. The fact that I’ve done this for the better part of a decade, and I’m not going to do it anymore, is a little frightening.”

As for what’s in store in season 8, showrunner Beth Schwartz said, “Everything relates to what’s going to happen in our crossover episode, which we’ve never done before,”

“Oliver [is told] he’s going to die, so each episode in the run-up to ‘Crisis’ has Oliver dealing with the various stages of grief that come with that discovery,” said Marc Guggenheim. “So the theme really is coming to terms, acceptance.”

“Because he’s a superhero with no superpowers, I always felt he should die — but he may also not die,” Stephen said.
