BTS‘ new Japanese single Lights is here!
The k-pop group dropped its new single and music video on Tuesday (July 2), which provides an inspirational message of hope and light, even in the darkness. When the single was first announced, the song was described as one that “conveys the message of hope that one can connect with others through sound and see each other’s lights whenever they close their eyes.”
The Lights music video reflects the song’s theme of light and hope, as members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are shown around a movie theater where they become frozen in time, before coming to life as they come together inside the theater to watch themselves on the big screen.
Along with the new song Lights, BTS also dropped the Japanese version of their hit songs Boy with Luv and IDOL, and will be releasing the single in physical form on July 5 (in the U.S.).
The single comes in three different limited editions, which will come with the CD (featuring Lights, the Japanese version of Boy with Luv, and the Japanese version of IDOL), and:
- Limited Edition A: Includes a DVD with the Lights and IDOL music video
- Limited Edition B: Includes the making of the Lights video and the making of the jacket photos
- Limited Edition C: Includes a 36-page photo booklet including exclusive photos of the group
In the meantime, BTS are set to resume their Love Yourself: Speak Yourself tour this month, and will be hitting the stage in Osaka, Japan this weekend for two shows (July 6 & 7), before heading to Shizuoka, Japan the following weekend. You can find out more about their tour stops and tickets here.
