iZombie Cast Say Goodbye to the Show with Heartfelt Messages

The CW’s iZombie aired its final episode this week, after five seasons on the air.

To say goodbye to the series, the show’s cast took so social media to share their farewell messages.

Ahead of the final episode, Rose McIver shared a photo from the set of the show, writing: “Five years. Liv, Ravi, Clive and the gang. It all led to tonight. Our series finale. Please tune in and live tweet with me while i bawl my eyes out. Thanks to the best fans ever.”

Meanwhile, Aly Michalka wrote:

“Goodbye #iZombie. Thank you for giving us so much more than we could have ever imagined….I will never forget these past 5 years with our incredible cast & crew. We laughed, we cried, we deliriously worked late hours, we relocated to Vancouver, we wore wigs & prosthetics, we stood in the rain with hot soup & heated water bottles, we memorized tricky monologues, we ate brains & learned stunts, we made up inside jokes, we created, we bonded…..all in the name of this show. Thank you all for watching. We’ll miss you always & think of you so very fondly.”

Rahul Kohli also wrote his goodbyes, saying:

“As of tonight, the #iZOMBiE chapter of my life comes to an end. Over the last 5 years I’ve been fortunate enough to work with an incredible group of people, behind and in front of the lens. I will forever be grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of this wonderful show. Thank you to The CW, Warner Bros and DC for all their support and enthusiasm. Rob Thomas, Diane Ruggiero-Wright, Dan Etheridge and Danielle Stockdyk, without them we wouldn’t even have this show. Thank you for taking a risk on some inexperienced random actor from London and believing in me when no one else did. I was all but ready to quit acting for good until iZOMBiE came into my life. The amazing cast and crew I got to work with every morning, who never failed to make me laugh, help me to be a better artist and be there when times got tough. And lastly and most importantly the iZOMBiE fandom.

Make no mistake this show would not have been on the air for as long as it was without you. You were in our thoughts everyday we were on set, working on things to make you smile, cry and cheer. You made us feel more loved and popular than our viewing figures suggested. Filling conventions to capacity, the cosplays, the fan art, the support for our other projects. We were truly blessed to have you in our corner. iZOMBiE will live on because of you, thank you.”

Robert Earl Buckley shared photos of the cast and crew for his farewell post, writing:

“Thank you, iZombie. Thank you for five years of great memories, laughter, joy and support. Thank you for all of the new friends. Thank you for providing a safe place to play, grow and stretch. What an incredibly special experience it has been and I’m so grateful I got to be a part of it. Thank you. #iZombie#ByeZombie”

As for Malcolm Goodwin, he wrote:

“I can’t front, I was filled with so many emotions watching our last episode. Our Izombie family final curtain call. At first it was sadness, then it was gratitude and pride. And that’s because this ride has been so much fun and allowed me to grow as an artist but more importantly as a person. I’m honored, proud and blessed to have worked with the most talented cast and crew who left all of their talent and heart in every frame. Thanks to Rob, Diane and the CW family for bringing this comic book by Chris Roberson and Michael Allred to the small screen. And thank you to all the fans for inviting us into your homes and social media lives each week. Your love and support kept us going for five years and we’ll be forever grateful for that. Much love and since all things must come to an end, on to the next:) #grateful#izombie”
