Arrow star Stephen Amell was just one of the many CW stars who stepped out for the 2019 Summer TCA Press Tour on Sunday (Aug 4), where he sat down to talk about the eighth and final season of the show.
During the Arrow panel, Stephen was joined by co-star David Ramsey, showrunner Beth Schwartz, and executive producer Marc Guggenheim, as they talked about the changes coming in the new season.
“The whole season is basically our greatest hits,” Beth Schwartz said. “We’re kind of tying up some stories you could have seen in Season 3 or 2.”
Stephen added: “Every episode this year feels like were trying to put a button on a certain part of the show. And I’ve [gotten] a chance to work with actors and characters, thus far, that I haven’t had a chance to work with in a bunch of years.”
“I think that the show as people understood it and its sort of structure — I think it ended in our Season 7 finale. This year is fundamentally different. The episodes are events. To me, the show as we constructed it ended when Emily [Bett Rickards] left.”
You can catch the final season of Arrow when it premieres on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 9/8c on The CW.
